About the role
Role Overview
Senior Scrum Master / IT Project Manager for a fully remote position supporting a leading healthcare organization. The role leads delivery of major technology initiatives across the enterprise, using Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, delivery roadmaps, and ensure on-time/on-budget delivery
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and board/delivery reviews
- Apply Scrum/project management practices to coordinate internal and external resources
- Maintain team focus on prioritization and delivery velocity in a fast-paced environment
- Identify, escalate, and resolve risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies; drive issue escalation and resolution
- Provide timely status communications to functional leadership (status, financials, risks, pending issues) and recommend actions to optimize delivery
- Build consensus with stakeholders on scope, execution approach, staffing, and issue resolution
- Partner with Product, Program, Portfolio, and business stakeholders to align delivery plans and outcomes
- Manage project financials (budget development, tracking, controls, and measurement)
- Coordinate with vendors/consultants/contractors as needed; support/lead Scrum of Scrums
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (required)
- SAFe / enterprise Agile experience (required)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication across technical and business audiences
- Ability to push back, escalate appropriately, and drive progress
- Technical aptitude to understand technology intersections
- Strong accountability and high ethical standards
- Experience supporting large, experienced Agile teams
Contract Details
- 6-month contracted role with extensions (remote)
