About the role

Role Overview

Scrum Master for OneStream Software’s Enterprise Project Management Office, acting as an Agile process advocate and coach for multiple Scrum teams. You’ll facilitate Scrum ceremonies, support technical teams with backlog refinement and planning, and drive continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

Guide IS Operations and Application teams in applying Agile/Scrum values, practices, and principles to improve team effectiveness.
Lead and manage multiple Scrum teams day-to-day.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:
- Backlog refinement
- Sprint planning
- Sprint reviews
- Retrospectives
- Daily stand-ups
Support technical teams during backlog refinement by:
- Gathering and refining user stories
- Defining technical considerations
- Ensuring technical requirements are understood and actionable
- Coaching teams to break down stories into manageable chunks
Establish schedules and working agreements, facilitate discussions, and remove roadblocks preventing sprint goals.
Assist with data management in project management tools and adoption of tooling.
Use Agile metrics and retrospective actions to assess Agile maturity and improve processes.
Track and remove impediments to increase efficiency and productivity.
Represent Scrum teams with updates on development and release status to Operations management and/or Product Owners.
Ensure effort estimation is performed effectively (e.g., planning poker or other methods).
Coordinate across Operations teams for cross-functional dependencies, resource planning, and technical considerations.
Participate in the Scrum of Scrums rotation and coach/mentor other Scrum Masters.

Requirements

5+ years experience as a Scrum Master in a software environment.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum theory, and Scrum practices.
CSM or CSP-SM certification (Scrum Alliance).
Proficiency with Agile techniques including user stories, continuous integration, continuous testing, pairing, and automated testing.
Advanced Jira skills and strong affinity for technology.
Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive sponsors and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to make decisive decisions and resolve issues effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Deep understanding of IT and/or Cloud concepts to support technical teams.

Experience supporting teams working on complex applications.
Strong passion for driving process improvements.
Solutions-oriented, adaptable mindset; comfortable navigating complex situations and conflict.
Familiarity with SDLC practices.
