Scrum Master

Role Overview

Scrum Master for a Detroit-based client. This is a remote role (W2 employees only; no subcontracting/C2C). The position is strictly for a Scrum Master (not a Project or Program Manager).

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to development and testing teams
• Conduct Agile ceremonies and facilitate the Scrum process
• Oversee work tracking and release management
• Maintain Scrum artifacts and use a Scrum/work management tool (e.g., VersionOne)
• Take initiatives/projects from assignment through implementation
• Support change management efforts with the management team
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Scrum Master certification required
• 5–7+ years experience in technology/software development (preferred)
• Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
• Strong skills in:
  • Communication and leadership
  • Organization and time management
  • Risk management and problem-solving
  • Adaptability and teamwork
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methods to improve collaboration across testing and development
• Strong understanding of system life cycle (application and operating systems)
• Attention to detail to identify discrepancies (including payroll calculation issues)
• Ability to investigate payroll anomalies, determine root cause (bug vs. input error), and coordinate with developers
• Collaboration with stakeholders, Solution Architects, Product Owner, managers, and developers

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using VersionOne (or similar work management tools)
