Scrum Master

Role Overview

Kanini Software Solutions is hiring a Certified Scrum Master / Technical Project Lead for a long-term contract (12+ months) supporting high-quality data/software delivery in US Remote (CST hours). The role leads technical teams using Agile/Scrum practices and supports projects in healthcare domains (clinical, payer, or health tech).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate core Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Backlog management, Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Coach teams to apply Agile/Scrum principles to deliver high-value features
• Identify and remove impediments blocking team progress
• Partner with Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders to maintain communication and alignment
• Maintain and track delivery performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts)
• Support backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Ensure Agile practices align with project goals, especially in regulated/healthcare settings

Requirements

• Certified Scrum Master qualification: CSM, PSM I/II, or equivalent
• 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master managing software development or data teams
• Hands-on technical experience with data integrations and/or migrations
• Strong Agile framework knowledge: Scrum, and experience with Kanban and/or SAFe
• Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication for distributed teams

Nice to Have

• Healthcare experience (e.g., EHR/EMR, payer systems, clinical systems, health data analytics)
• Exposure to HIPAA-compliant environments or regulated data handling
• Collaboration with DevOps teams and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS)
