About the role
Role Overview
Scrum Master / Kanban Coach for a data-centric delivery organization. This is a hybrid Scrum Master/Kanban coaching role focused on continuous flow (not sprints), helping teams optimize how work moves through the pipeline.
Location: Remote (EST) Employment: W2 position (not open for C2C) Contract Type: 6-month contract to hire
Responsibilities
- Optimize Flow: Manage WIP (Work In Progress) limits and remove systemic bottlenecks.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Use flow and performance metrics such as Cycle Time, Throughput, and Aging to improve predictability.
- Facilitate Cadences: Lead Daily Kanban, Replenishment, and Service Delivery Reviews.
- Stakeholder Management: Balance demand vs. capacity and communicate delivery risks to leadership.
- Coaching: Mentor teams on Lean/Kanban principles and explicit delivery policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Kanban or Scrumban (SDM level) practitioner.
- Domain experience: Must have experience with Data/Technical projects.
- Tools: Expert proficiency in Azure DevOps including Boards, Dashboards, and CFDs.
- Strong grasp of Lean systems thinking and flow-based metrics.
