About the role

Role Overview

JustFOIA is hiring a Scrum Master to support delivery against the project direction from the Product Strategy team. You will define detailed requirements, ensure development teams have what they need, and facilitate delivery across teams while aligning with Agile/Scrum practices.

Responsibilities

Act as project subject matter expert for the development team
Translate product strategy and vision into detailed requirements
Define and confirm project scope with stakeholders
Work with development teams to clarify details and support execution
Manage budget, scope, and timeline, balancing commitments and expectations
Prioritize the backlog and drive iteration via prioritized stories
Manage dependencies in and across releases
Communicate status and updates to stakeholders while managing scope/expectations
Facilitate work across development teams to deliver efficiently and consistently
Lead backlog refinement (decompose/estimate stories)
Drive scrum process by leading Scrum ceremonies
Track impediments and progress, and help resolve blockers
Ensure outcomes meet Definition of Done (Completed Stories)
Run projects varying in size (noted as $100 to $1,000,000) and apply Theory of Constraints daily
Demonstrate the latest product to customers and gather feedback

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of relevant work experience (or proven learning track)
Strong Agile and Scrum knowledge (Agile values, Scrum mechanics, and practical agile practices)
Ability to lead all Scrum ceremonies
Exceptional facilitation and communication skills; ability to build trust and resolve conflicts
Risk management skills to anticipate and mitigate issues
Strong organizational skills to keep teams on track and deliver on time
Ability to adapt, overcome obstacles, and analyze root causes

Nice to Have

Scrum certification: A-CSPO, A-CSM, or PMI-ACP (or equivalent proven learning track)
