Scrum Master

Role Overview

Join Horizontal Talent as a Scrum Master to lead Agile/Scrum practices and help cross-functional technology and product teams deliver successfully. This is a remote role with responsibilities spanning delivery facilitation, sprint health, and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile delivery practices for multiple Scrum teams, including running effective and timely Scrum ceremonies.
• Drive execution through planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to improve delivery transparency and alignment.
• Monitor sprint health, team capacity, and manage risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Maintain accurate work management in Jira, ensuring backlog health and compliance.
• Promote accountability and self-organization, escalating risks and impediments as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience facilitating Agile practices and leading Scrum teams.
• Strong ability to drive team execution and manage Agile ceremonies.
• Excellent collaboration skills with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Experience tracking sprint health and managing risks/dependencies.
• Proficiency with Jira for work management and backlog maintenance.

Preferred

• Experience fostering team accountability and self-organization.
• Ability to escalate risks and impediments appropriately.
• Background in technology and product initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34–$69 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
