About the role

Role Overview

Join Horizontal Talent as a Scrum Master to lead Agile/Scrum practices that enable successful technology and product delivery. This is a remote role supporting cross-functional teams and improving delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile delivery practices for multiple Scrum teams, ensuring effective and timely ceremonies
Drive team execution through:
- Sprint planning
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint reviews
- Retrospectives
- Backlog refinement
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to improve delivery transparency and team alignment
Monitor sprint health, team capacity, and manage risks, blockers, and dependencies
Maintain accurate work management in Jira (backlog health and compliance)
Foster accountability and self-organization, escalating risks/impediments as needed

Requirements

Proven experience facilitating Agile practices and leading Scrum teams
Strong ability to manage Agile ceremonies and drive team execution
Excellent collaboration skills with Product Owners and stakeholders
Experience tracking sprint health and managing risks/dependencies
Proficiency with Jira for work management and backlog maintenance

Preferred

Experience fostering team accountability and self-organization
Ability to escalate risks and impediments appropriately
Background in technology and product initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $34–$69 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
