SCRUM MASTER

Role Overview

The Scrum Master will drive Agile excellence and coach cross-functional teams delivering high-quality products and services to government clients. You will facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, align priorities with stakeholders, and translate complex requirements into actionable sprint goals.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide Scrum Teams on Agile practices and principles to deliver quality outcomes
• Ensure the team follows Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Daily Scrum
  • Sprint Review
  • Sprint Retrospective
• Coach self-organization, cross-functional development, and effective communication within the team
• Partner with internal/external stakeholders to influence decisions and support project/product teams
• Remove blockers/impediments and coordinate with other Scrum Masters to improve organizational Scrum effectiveness
• Support continuous improvement by running data-driven retrospectives and advancing Agile practices
• Lead/coach teams focused mainly on Business as Usual (BAU) work, and to a lesser degree departmental initiatives and corporate project work

Requirements

• Prior experience working on a Scrum team
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile techniques
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Communication with technical, non-technical, and executive-level customers
• Technical knowledge of complex enterprise IT systems
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue identification
• Ability to organize and motivate a project team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based environments and technologies
• Experience coaching teams and applying Agile practices in hybrid BAU/strategic initiative settings
