Scrum Master - Health Systems

Role Overview

LMI is seeking a results-driven Scrum Master to help develop cutting-edge healthcare data solutions, with a primary focus on Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and risk adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Ceremony Facilitation: Lead and optimize core Agile events (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives).
• Impediment Resolution: Identify, track, and clear roadblocks; coordinate with stakeholders to resolve dependencies and access issues.
• Team Coaching: Mentor cross-functional delivery teams toward self-organization, high performance, and continual maturity in Scrum practices.
• Backlog Management: Work with the CMS Product Owner and business stakeholders to refine user stories, prioritize the backlog, and plan release cycles.
• Metric Tracking & Reporting: Track sprint progress and team velocity; use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to report metrics and drive process improvement.
• Compliance & Alignment: Ensure delivery aligns with CMS Target Architecture and federal healthcare data security protocols.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in Agile software development, ideally in large federal or healthcare IT environments.
• CSM or PSM certification required.
• Familiarity with CMS programs (Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare.gov) or federal enterprise modernization.
• Proficiency with Agile tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
