About the role
Role Overview
Scrum Master to execute Scrum/Agile for a federal law enforcement customer. The role is remote and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Execute Scrum methodologies for the product lifecycle
- Guide teams in Agile practices and support team rules
- Facilitate product progress toward team goals and promote Agile quality practices
- Lead and facilitate meetings; eliminate blockers and remove impediments
- Build high-performing teams and coordinate with other teams
- Support ROM and level-of-estimate activities
- Facilitate regular Agile ceremonies (including sprint planning and user demonstrations)
- Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities (SAFe)
- Advise government personnel on incremental changes to drive continuous improvement
- Track and report team metrics and velocity
- Provide feedback and coaching to improve delivery
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years experience in Agile environments
- Proficiency with Scrum and Agile methodologies
- Experience with Jira, Confluence (and Sprint planning/execution)
- Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and remove impediments
- Team coaching/mentoring and basic conflict resolution
- Development or system engineering experience or a technical mindset
Nice to Have
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification
