About the role

Role Overview

Scrum Master for the DEWALT Construction Technology team. You will facilitate Agile practices and coach a global team of software engineers and digital developers delivering workflow management solutions for construction component prefabrication.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Scrum Events: Run Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach Agile Practices: Guide teams and the organization on Agile/Scrum values and practices.
Remove Impediments: Identify and clear obstacles blocking the team’s progress.
Support the Product Owner: Help with backlog management, refinement, and prioritization.
Foster Collaboration: Improve communication within the team and with stakeholders.
Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage learning and adaptation through process retrospection.
Ensure Quality Delivery: Support delivery of high-quality, secure, scalable software solutions in a cloud environment within release timelines.
Champion Agile Mindset: Advocate Agile principles across the team and organization.

Requirements

7+ years experience as a Scrum Master or similar Agile role in software development environments.
Strong knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
Experience tracking and reporting sprint progress, velocity, and performance metrics.
Jira familiarity is essential; act as the administrator of the Scrum board and keep tickets updated.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership.
Proven ability to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to prevent over-committing and scope creep.
Ability to guide teams delivering quality code/services in time-boxed iterations/sprints.
Experience with distributed, cross-functional teams.
Ability to promote Agile values: transparency, inspection, adaptation.

Nice to Have

AWS knowledge and secure software development practices.
CSM/PSM or similar certification (highly desirable).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
