Role Overview
Scrum Master (Contract)
- Work type: Contract (6 months with extension)
- Location: Remote (US)
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Owner to ensure the team delivers refined stories in a prioritized way for maximum business benefit.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and processes:
- Sprint iteration planning
- Backlog refinement
- Daily stand-ups
- Retrospectives
- Release planning
- Remove team-level impediments and escalate non-team-level blockers to resolution.
- Facilitate group meetings, including workshops.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams, technology teams, and vendors to enable communication and support a shared vision for delivered functionality.
- Maintain appropriate project documentation.
- Provide timely communication of project status.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Scrum Master experience with a software development team.
- Project management experience in financial services or technology.
- Experience managing multiple/combined complex projects successfully in a program context.
- Scrum Alliance CSM (required).
- CSP certification or PMI Agile Certified Professional (ACP) preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Consensus building and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of CCM.
