About the role

Role overview

You will join Capstone Integrated Solutions’ Cloud Transformation team to help clients and partners migrate and modernize workloads to AWS. The role is hands-on and involves designing cloud-native architectures, leading technical discovery/design work, and enabling delivery through repeatable patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead and articulate a compelling AWS value proposition for customer executives.
Define and execute migration and modernization strategies with technical teams.
Design target architectures using modern patterns such as microservices and event-driven architectures with AWS managed/cloud-native services.
Collaborate across development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams to identify repeatable cloud migration patterns.
Work with client/partner teams to streamline AWS delivery, including build automation and adoption of new AWS services.
Identify critical/emerging infrastructure and engineering technologies supporting predictive modeling and machine learning solutions.
Act as a hands-on team member as needed.

Requirements (Must haves)

At least two AWS certifications, with at least one Specialty or Professional level.
Undergraduate degree or 7+ years experience in software development/design/implementation/consulting (or equivalent military experience).
5+ years experience in cloud software development, solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, or lead architecture roles, leading discovery/design/development of full-stack custom and COTS applications.
2+ years AWS experience with hands-on implementation across AWS development, architecture, security, administration, and engineering.
Deep experience writing serverless code (AWS Lambda) with Node.js, Python, or Go.
Experience architecting/designing/migrating workloads to AWS.
Experience with migration discovery, profiling, migration automation, and operations tooling/technologies.
Multi-tier distributed architecture experience in IT consulting/operations/application development/support, including migrating/operating on-prem or cloud, and transforming legacy IT solutions.
