Scrum Master

Role Overview

Scrum Master (Scrum Engineer IV) — 6-month contract, 100% remote. You will support 2–3 Agile teams by facilitating ceremonies, maintaining cadence, managing impediments, and enabling transparent backlog and sprint execution.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies for multiple teams: daily standups, backlog refinement, planning, end-of-sprint demos, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate and maintain operating cadence, ensuring teams stay aligned with delivery goals.
• Remove impediments (or guide teams to resolve them by finding the right resources).
• Maintain sprint backlog in coordination with Engineering Leaders, tech leads, analysts, business stakeholders, and other team members.
• Support release planning and deployment strategy together with the team and release manager.
• Track and report team metrics such as velocity and burn-down to drive transparency.
• Support communications and project reporting, including internal/external updates.
• Assist with milestone planning: track key deliverables and provide routine status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Run retrospectives and help implement improvements identified in those sessions.

Requirements

• CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) and/or PMP or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and continual improvement mindset.
• Clear verbal and written communication with ability to work across all management/staff levels.
• Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to operate independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business.

Experience

• 6+ years experience in a similar project management/Agile delivery role, preferably in a fast-paced service delivery environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working across engineering leaders/tech leads/analysts/business stakeholders in multi-team Agile settings.
