Scrum Master

Role Overview

Alpha Omega is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a long-term Federal project. The role is remote and requires a Public Trust clearance; the posting specifies US Citizen eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the project and lead a team on large projects or significant segments.
• Analyze complex, project-related problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Provide application systems analysis and develop long- and short-range plans for:
  • application selection
  • systems development
  • systems maintenance
  • production activities
• Ensure adherence to agile methodologies, Lean-Agile principles, and the SAFe framework.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor team members on agile practices and principles.
• Manage and resolve conflicts within the team and between stakeholders.
• Use Agile and project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) to track progress and collaborate.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master (or similar role) plus 4–5 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of agile, Lean-Agile, and SAFe.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Experience managing and resolving conflicts.
• Proficiency with Agile/project management tools, including Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading large and complex projects.
• Familiarity with software development processes and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• SAFE Program Consultant (SPC) certification preferred.
• Relevant project management/agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP).

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $92,000 – $107,000 annually.
• Benefits include PTO (15 days including paid parental/military/bereavement leave), 11 paid Federal holidays, health/dental insurance with employer-paid premiums under an HDHP plan, life/disability coverage, and a 401(k) match (100% vested after two years), plus tuition/professional development reimbursement.
