About the role

Role Overview

The Scrum Master – AI Delivery drives predictable, high-quality delivery across multiple AI initiatives supporting insurance and claims operations. This is a senior Agile delivery leadership role that reinforces disciplined Agile practices, protects sprint commitments, and enables sustainable delivery velocity in a high-demand, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and govern Agile ceremonies across one or more AI teams, ensuring sprint planning reflects realistic capacity, dependencies, and operational priorities.
  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners to ensure backlog readiness, story quality, and alignment to claims workflows, system integrations, and compliance requirements.
  • Apply project management discipline to maintain delivery plans, milestone tracking, dependency management, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
  • Provide advanced delivery oversight using metrics such as velocity, throughput, cycle time, flow efficiency, and unplanned work.
  • Interpret delivery trends and advise Product/Technology leadership on capacity constraints, trade-offs, and operational impacts, including regulatory or client-driven changes.
  • Anticipate and resolve complex cross-functional impediments (data access, platform integration, security reviews, model validation, vendor dependencies, shared services) in collaboration with relevant leaders.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to align schedules, dependencies, deliverables, and communications.
  • Reinforce enterprise-grade Agile delivery discipline, ensuring mid-sprint scope changes are controlled and communicated.
  • Coach stakeholders and team members on the downstream impact of sprint disruptions; support informed prioritization decisions.
  • Lead continuous improvement through advanced retrospectives focused on delivery predictability, quality, collaboration effectiveness, and operational outcomes.
  • Foster psychological safety, accountability, and maturity in Agile practices across AI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Senior Agile delivery leadership experience (Scrum Master acting as a senior Agile delivery leader).
  • Strong ability to drive predictable delivery across multiple teams/initiatives in a regulated environment.
  • Expertise applying both Scrum and project management practices (planning, governance, dependencies, RAID, reporting).
  • Ability to analyze and use delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, flow efficiency, and related indicators).
  • Experience coordinating across Technology, Security, Data, Architecture, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Knowledge of AI delivery constraints such as data access, platform integration, security reviews, and model validation.
  • Familiarity with claims workflows, customer experience impacts, and regulatory compliance requirements.
