Scrum Master - AI Delivery

Role Overview

The Scrum Master (AI Delivery) ensures structured, predictable, and transparent delivery of AI initiatives that support insurance and claims operations. You will reinforce disciplined Agile practices, protect sprint commitments, and help maintain sustainable delivery velocity in a high-demand, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (including Sprint Planning) to ensure capacity and objectives align with operational priorities.
• Partner with the Product Manager/Owner to confirm backlog readiness, ensuring stories include relevant claims workflow details, dependencies, and compliance considerations.
• Monitor delivery health using metrics such as:
  • Velocity
  • Throughput
  • Cycle time
  • Unplanned work percentage
• Protect sprint integrity while coordinating reprioritization when client escalations, regulatory updates, or operational emergencies occur.
• Identify and help resolve impediments related to:
  • Data access
  • Integration constraints
  • Security reviews
  • Model validation processes
  • Cross-team dependencies
• Reinforce change management, controlling mid-sprint urgent request injections and communicating operational impacts.
• Drive continuous improvement through structured retrospectives focused on delivery efficiency, collaboration, and output quality.
• Promote psychological safety and shared accountability, especially for AI teams that iterate and experiment.
• Maintain transparent dashboards/reporting for leadership visibility into sprint progress, risks, and delivery predictability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery environments
• Experience supporting technical or analytics-driven teams
• Understanding of regulated operational environments (e.g., insurance or managed claims)
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to operate effectively in matrixed, multi-LOB enterprise structures
