Role Overview

Scrum Master – AI Delivery (100% remote) supports an AI Transformation team delivering AI initiatives for insurance and claims operations. The role ensures structured, predictable, and transparent delivery while reinforcing disciplined Agile practices in a high-demand, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, ensuring Sprint Planning reflects realistic capacity and clear, operationally grounded objectives.
• Partner with the Product Manager/Owner to confirm backlog readiness (sufficient story detail on claims workflows, system dependencies, and compliance considerations).
• Monitor delivery health using metrics such as velocity, throughput, cycle time, and unplanned work percentage; identify systemic inefficiencies or disruptions.
• Protect sprint integrity during potential client escalations, regulatory updates, or operational emergencies, coordinating reprioritization outside sprint boundaries when needed.
• Identify and help resolve impediments involving data access, integration constraints, security reviews, model validation processes, and cross-team dependencies.
• Support disciplined change management, controlling mid-sprint urgent injections and communicating operational impacts.
• Facilitate structured retrospectives focused on delivery efficiency, collaboration effectiveness, and quality.
• Encourage psychological safety and shared accountability, particularly for AI experimentation and iteration.
• Maintain transparent dashboards/reporting for leadership visibility into progress, risk exposure, and predictability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience supporting AI technical or analytics-driven teams.
• Understanding of regulated operational environments (e.g., insurance / managed claims services).
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in matrixed, multi-LOB enterprise structures.
