Scrum Master (ADO)

Role Overview

Contract IT Scrum Master (Full-Time, 7 months +), remote for US-based candidates. You will provide disciplined delivery support across multiple high-priority IT workstreams within an IT PMO, reporting to the Director of IT PMO.

Responsibilities

• Scrum ceremony facilitation & scaling: Run core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning) for 2–3 workstreams initially; scale to 4–5 as you build ecosystem proficiency.
• Azure DevOps (ADO) governance:
  • Own backlog hygiene in ADO
  • Maintain real-time workflow status accuracy
  • Enforce strict sprint/backlog organization to ensure data integrity
• Metrics & dashboard engineering:
  • Build and maintain advanced ADO queries and custom dashboards
  • Provide actionable delivery metrics (e.g., throughput, flow efficiency, delivery health) for teams and executive sponsors
• Dependency & vendor management:
  • Partner with project leads to ensure backlog readiness
  • Track and proactively remove technical impediments
  • Coordinate with external technology vendors to align deliverables to internal sprint cadence
• Agile mentorship:
  • Coach cross-functional teams, product owners, and business stakeholders on Agile roles, responsibilities, and best practices

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Scrum Master (or equivalent Agile delivery role) in complex IT/systems engineering environments
• Advanced, hands-on Azure DevOps (ADO) experience, including:
  • Boards management
  • Sprint configuration
  • Custom query building
  • Dashboard engineering
• Experience managing multiple technical workstreams and their dependencies concurrently
• Strong communication skills coordinating with Product Owners, engineering teams, and third-party vendors

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile certifications: CSM, PSM I/II, or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
• Experience in a formal IT PMO environment for enterprise system integrations or ERP migrations
