About the role
Role Overview
Scrum Master (Scrum Master 3) for Capgemini Engineering, supporting cross-functional delivery in a robotic/embedded/manufacturing environment. This role is remote in the US and focuses on leading Scrum ceremonies, ensuring Agile process adherence, and removing impediments to drive delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan, facilitate, and lead Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Lead Scrum execution for cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with cGEP/cGMP standards.
- Guide decomposition of work: break down epics and stories into sub-stories, tasks, spikes, and actionable items.
- Coach the team on Scrum principles; ensure consistent adherence to Agile processes and support self-organization.
- Ensure stories progress through required workflow steps to maintain transparency and delivery momentum.
- Identify, remove, and escalate impediments impacting productivity; encourage focus on committed sprint work.
- Partner with Development Managers on planning, prioritization, and capacity management.
- Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to keep upcoming work ready.
- Support delivery timeline development with PMO (capacity planning, resource loading, forecasting).
- Assess capacity, identify resource gaps, and support resource balancing.
- Collaborate with clients and end users to clarify requirements and align outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between development and product management to ensure governance and delivery standards.
- Monitor risks and delivery issues; escalate and drive resolution through appropriate channels.
Requirements
- 10+ years overall experience, including 4+ years in a related Robotic / Embedded / Manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) and GMP and new process development from a Scrum perspective.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical/engineering field.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile and the Scrum framework.
- Hands-on experience using Scrum/Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, JAMA.
- Experience managing multiple teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Solid understanding of basic project management principles.

- Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM - Certified ScrumMaster).
