About the role

Role Overview

As a Scientific Product Solutions Lead at Dotmatics (full remote), you will design and implement innovative informatics solutions for life sciences and the chemical & material industries. You will work closely with Product and cross-functional teams to build configurable solutions, validate them through testing, and ensure quality and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product to define application structure, including:
- Entity/data models
- Task/workflow specifications
- Data visualization experience requirements
Build Luma Solutions configuration components such as:
- Registration entities
- Data flows
- Task templates
- Data visualization experiences
- Other supporting configurations
Perform in-team testing of configurations and support release testing by handing test cases to QA.
Troubleshoot configurations to diagnose why outputs don’t match desired results.
Contribute to documentation and user training, and champion quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on experience delivering informatics solutions for Life Sciences customers.
Proven success delivering scientific data platforms/tools across:
- Data modeling
- ETL
- APIs
- BI/reporting
Deep experience integrating tools/modules to architect cohesive solutions.
Strong analytical skills to translate product requirements into precise configuration designs.
Expert proficiency configuring low-code platforms and designing end-to-end workflows.
Expert SQL skills, plus strong working knowledge of Python and JSON.
Advanced expertise in robust, scalable data modeling.
Experience running/supporting scientific workflows in production or research environments.
Experience running/supporting scientific test cases.
Understanding of software testing and/or SDLC.
Working knowledge of Databricks.

Nice to Have

Domain experience in Drug Discovery and/or Biotechnology (or other scientific industries).
Bachelor’s (or advanced degree) in Life Sciences, Data Science, Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related technical discipline.
