SAP Product Owner (Staff) / PCCM / Dangerous and Hazardous Materials

Role Overview

Join Lockheed Martin’s digital transformation journey with the 1LMX program. This position is for a Product Owner on an agile team supporting Product Compliance for dangerous and hazardous goods movements and storage, using SAP S/4HANA within ERP Production Operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as one of the Product Owners for an agile development team covering Product Compliance.
• Guide the technical SAP S/4 solution for the MRP product team.
• Collaborate with IT business analysts and developers and professional services to meet product objectives.
• Work with stakeholders and the product management team to understand requirements.
• Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure smooth cross-team handoffs and alignment on impacts.
• Define scope and provide oversight to analysts and developers to ensure user needs are met.
• Ensure delivered functionality is high quality and reliable.
• Create and maintain Product Backlog:
  • Clearly articulate backlog items
  • Prioritize backlog to achieve goals and missions
  • Ensure backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to the Scrum team
  • Ensure the development team understands items at the needed level
• Optimize the value of the development team’s work.
• Engage leadership to report status and escalate risks/issues for timely resolution.

Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience with dangerous and hazardous goods processes within Lockheed Martin.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership across teams delivering solutions through the full software lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to work across organizational and geographic boundaries.
• Experience engaging and managing relationships with strategic stakeholders.
• US citizenship required due to program requirements.

Desired Skills / Nice-to-Haves

• Experience as a Product Owner.
• Experience with the SAP PCCM (Product Compliance) module.
• Prior experience with Agile processes and tools, including SAFe, Jira, or VersionOne.
• Ability to create materials and present to executive-level leadership.
• Experience supporting major ERP modernization projects.
• Formal Agile project management experience or certifications (e.g., SAFe) or equivalent.
• Experience using Earned Value Management for budgeting and executing projects.
• Demonstrated ability to implement transformational projects and share best practices.

Work Arrangement

• Full-time remote (telework full time at a non–Lockheed Martin designated office/job site).
• Possible periodic travel to Lockheed Martin offices for meetings.
