About the role

Role Overview

Join Salesforce’s Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) team as a Senior Data Analyst. You’ll use advanced analytics and scientific modeling to generate insights that inform strategic compensation plan design, partnering with business stakeholders across aligned go-to-market (GTM) organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scientific and predictive models to simulate the financial impact of compensation plan changes.
  • Perform sophisticated statistical analyses to evaluate incentive program effectiveness and ROI.
  • Act as a dedicated technical analytics partner for aligned GTM orgs, translating complex models into actionable business recommendations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or highly technical quantitative analysis.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related).
  • SQL proficiency and ability to work with complex data and queries.
  • Strong Python skills (or R) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and building scientific models.
  • Ability to build automated dashboards using Tableau (or similar visualization tools).
  • Advanced experience with Snowflake (complex query authoring, optimization, troubleshooting).
  • Strong capability to independently handle complex analytical requests: clarify the ask, structure data pipelines, run advanced statistical analyses, validate assumptions, and deliver reliable models.
  • Clear communication and storytelling: synthesize complex analyses into simple, consumable deliverables with clear takeaways.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Knowledge of Salesforce products and/or CRM infrastructure.
  • General understanding of how a SaaS GTM engine operates.
