About the role

Role Overview

SAFe/Enterprise Agile Coach to drive Agile transformation across the organization. You will coach teams and leaders, embed Lean-Agile and DevOps practices, and improve delivery performance and Agile maturity while fostering continuous improvement and psychological safety.

Responsibilities

Agile Transformation & Coaching

  • Serve as a change agent to influence mindset and behaviors across teams and leadership.
  • Design and execute an enterprise Agile adoption strategy (introduction, scaling, continuous improvement).
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, teams, and leaders through Agile maturity journeys.
  • Partner with Program Agile Coaches and stakeholders to align across teams and portfolios.
  • Provide hands-on mentoring and guidance to build Agile capability and independence.

Engineering & Delivery Excellence

  • Coach and reinforce modern engineering practices:
    • TDD, BDD, XP, pair programming
    • CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
    • Secure coding practices
  • Promote DevOps principles (continuous integration, continuous deployment, shift-left QA).
  • Identify delivery gaps and drive adoption of software development and QA best practices.

Agile Implementation & Process Improvement

  • Assess and improve delivery processes by implementing Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid models).
  • Facilitate user story creation with SMEs and ensure alignment with Agile best practices.
  • Improve transparency, predictability, collaboration, and flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across teams and enterprise value streams.

Training, Enablement & Communication

  • Develop and deliver training, workshops, and presentations for Agile education and enablement.
  • Provide Agile thought leadership and practical guidance across organizational levels.
  • Produce clear written communications to support transformation and stakeholder alignment.

Culture, Leadership & Change Enablement

  • Build a culture of agility, continuous improvement, quality, and psychological safety.
  • Encourage experimentation, feedback, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Use coaching techniques to build trust, resolve delivery challenges, and support team autonomy.
  • Address resistance and reinforce Agile value.

Metrics & Performance Improvement

  • Promote and track Agile metrics to measure adoption and effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve delivery performance and team maturity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of Agile coaching experience, including enterprise/large-scale Agile transformation.
  • 5+ years of software development or technical delivery experience.
  • Deep expertise in Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Proven ability to coach both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience promoting DevOps and Agile engineering excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, psychological safety, and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile coaching certification (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, ICAgile, SPC, or similar).
  • Experience with enterprise Agile transformations.
  • Experience with SAFe or scaled Agile environments.
