Role overview

Architectural Job Captain for Russell + Lopes Architects LLP (fully remote). The role leads production of construction documents and coordinates consultants, supporting project architects/managers from design through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and coordination of construction documents and technical drawings
• Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers to maintain design intent
• Coordinate consultant documentation (structural, MEP, and specialty disciplines)
• Manage QA/QC to ensure drawing consistency and code compliance
• Communicate proactively with a distributed remote team
• Support construction administration as needed (RFIs, submittals, addenda)

Requirements

• Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
• 5–8 years of professional architecture experience, including experience as a Job Captain
• Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, building systems, and code compliance
• Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating virtually

Nice to have

• Experience on healthcare, institutional, or complex commercial projects
• Architectural licensure (plus, not required)
