Risk Operations Program Manager

Role overview

Senior individual contributor (IC) in the Risk PMO team, leading high-stakes global regulatory programs. You will define, own, and execute program strategies for large-scale initiatives across a portfolio of global projects with significant autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end global programs: strategy, scoping, project planning, day-to-day tracking, and change management
• Drive step-change improvements to operational processes by building systems and workflows that improve business outcomes and top-line metrics
• Bridge compliance and commercial strategy by partnering with GTM and account leadership to turn complex regulatory requirements into competitive advantage and user trust
• Build and run operating models across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Compliance), keeping distributed workstreams aligned and accountable
• Prepare strategic reviews for senior stakeholders and manage critical escalations
• Translate user friction into program evolution using structured, data-driven user feedback loops; convert insights into actionable product and operational improvements
• Diagnose and resolve systemic operational gaps before they impact users by building scalable, “self-healing” internal processes and infrastructure
• Champion Stripe’s Operating Principles by fostering a high-performance culture focused on rigorous thinking, rapid execution, and user-first outcomes

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Strategy & Operations (as stated)

Nice to have

• Experience operating in fast-moving, ambiguous regulatory environments (implied by role context)
• Strong cross-functional program leadership across legal/compliance and product/engineering/GTM (implied by responsibilities)
