Role Overview
Retail Operations Manager working on project-based work to evaluate and improve AI using retail and business operations expertise. No prior AI experience is required.
What You’ll Do
- Design and solve real-world retail management and operations scenarios to test AI reasoning.
- Produce clear, structured solutions covering:
- Inventory management
- Staffing
- Merchandising
- Performance optimization
- Evaluate AI outputs for clarity, operational accuracy, and business relevance.
- Collaborate with AI researchers to improve understanding related to:
- Leadership communication
- Supply chain processes
- Retail analytics
Requirements
- 4+ years experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Retail Leader.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, supply chain coordination, and sales execution strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations/Retail Management preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent English communication and analytical reasoning.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience managing multi-store operations and store performance (implied by the general/operations manager scope).
Engagement Details
- Fully remote.
- Contractor assignment / freelancer (potentially full-time).
- Project duration: ~1 month, with possibility of extension.
