Retail Operations Manager

Role Overview

You will work on projects that evaluate and improve AI using your retail business operations expertise. No prior AI experience is required—you’ll apply your experience to help build better decision-making, improve sales performance, and optimize end-to-end retail operations.

Day-to-Day

• Design and solve real-world retail management and operations scenarios to test AI reasoning
• Create clear, structured solutions covering:
  • Inventory management
  • Staffing
  • Merchandising
  • Performance optimization
• Review and evaluate AI outputs for:
  • Clarity
  • Operational accuracy
  • Business relevance
• Collaborate with AI researchers to improve model understanding of:
  • Leadership communication
  • Supply chain processes
  • Retail analytics

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Retail Leader
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain coordination, and sales execution strategies
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Operations, or Retail Management (preferred)
• Excellent English communication and analytical reasoning skills
• Must be based in the United States

Engagement & Location

• Fully remote
• Contractor assignment/freelancer (potentially full-time)
• Project duration: ~1 month, with possibility for extension
• Compensation is strong and varies by project
