About the role

Role Overview

Join The Story Shack as a Resource Manager, working directly with the Head of Community. You’ll be responsible for running day-to-day talent outreach, supporting creative resourcing, coordinating project needs, and keeping administrative and financial operations organized so projects are staffed correctly and nothing falls through the cracks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily outreach and administration for a 300-person creative community (creative directors, copywriters, directors, cinematographers, photographers, producers, designers, etc.)
    • Initial outreach, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Run availability and rate checks across the talent network for upcoming projects; keep records accurate and up to date
  • Support creative resourcing by matching the right talent to the right projects based on:
    • Skills, client needs, availability, and budget
    • Partner with Project Managers, Account Managers, and Producers
  • Handle financial administration:
    • Invoice monitoring, payment tracking, and discrepancy flagging
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date talent and project databases
  • Serve as a first point of contact for talent inquiries and applications; build and maintain relationships across the creative community

Requirements

  • Experience in a creative agency, studio, or production environment with resourcing responsibilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • High attention to detail, especially for scheduling and financials
  • Collaborative, low-ego mindset and ability to support others’ workflows
  • Real interest in advertising and film, and a desire to build relationships with creative talent

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with talent databases, project management tools, and invoicing/accounting software
  • Existing relationships within the creative production community
