About the role
Renewal Operations Manager (NA Renewals)
Location: Remote (North America)
Sapiens is building a dedicated renewal function. You will help create the renewal playbook and own a defined segment of the North America renewal book, managing renewals end-to-end with a strong focus on commercial outcomes (not relationship maintenance).
Responsibilities
- Commercial Renewal Execution (end-to-end) for assigned renewal accounts: outreach, negotiation, quoting, documentation, and booking
- Identify and execute pricing uplift opportunities within existing contracts, including:
- CPI escalators
- license true-ups
- tier migrations
- maintenance-to-subscription transitions
- Manage renewal pipeline and forecasting: keep Salesforce renewal pipeline accurate and maintain a 90–120 day rolling forecast
- Work with Finance and Legal to coordinate on non-standard terms and approval workflows
- Transition commercial ownership over renewal conversations with BU leaders and PMs while maintaining customer continuity
- Partner with CSMs and PS leads: CSM/PS own delivery relationship; you own the commercial renewal conversation
- Escalate complex/high-risk deals and pricing exceptions to the Senior Renewal Ops Manager
- Build the playbook: document patterns, objections, and what works
- Analytics & pipeline management:
- keep your book clean, current, and risk-flagged
- analyze contract data, pricing history, renewal dates, and structural opportunities
- provide accurate weekly forecast updates and pipeline commentary
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in Sales, Deal Desk, or RevOps (B2B software strongly preferred)
- Strong ability to read software contracts and extract commercial terms (renewal dates, pricing structures, escalator clauses, PS carve-outs)
- Advanced analytical skills; Excel/Google Sheets required
- Comfortable having commercial conversations with procurement and finance stakeholders at customer organizations
- Curious and data-driven: wants to understand why accounts are structured a certain way
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in insurance or financial services software
- Experience in service-heavy software environments
- Familiarity with CPQ, CLM, or contract management tools
- Salesforce experience
