Remote - Senior QA Engineer with AI and Playwright

Role Overview

Senior QA Engineer responsible for upgrading a highly manual QA process using AI-driven test automation and Playwright. You will help modernize UI validation while ensuring existing functionality remains correct through migration.

Responsibilities

• Automate QA workflows that are currently largely manual by building and guiding AI agents.
• Design AI-driven API-level test automation and extend it across multiple workloads.
• Support a key initiative to modernize/refresh the UI of an existing application:
  • Validate current functionality before migration.
  • Confirm the new UI preserves the same behavior using the same inputs/outputs.
  • Preferably have validations handled (at least partially) by an AI agent.
• Uplift the team through AI enablement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA and QA/Test Automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong AI-driven QA automation background and experience with AI agents/agentic workflows.
• Experience using or working with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT.
• qTest experience.
• API testing (e.g., via Postman), plus:
  • Functional test automation
  • Regression testing automation
  • Integration testing automation
• Experience transitioning manual QA to automated testing.
• Experience building, guiding, or orchestrating AI agents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• AWS experience.
• React and Spring Boot API knowledge.
• UI modernization / legacy-to-modern application validation.
• Tosca (Tricentis) experience.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications, including validating non-deterministic AI outputs.
