Role overview
You’ll lead the long-term vision and execution of a product design system that improves digital experiences while staying strongly focused on accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive UX. The role emphasizes tight collaboration with engineering and product leaders, rapid iteration, and governance that supports adoption across the organization. You’ll also help modernize the design-to-engineering workflow by leveraging AI technologies.
Accountabilities
- Architect the long-term trajectory of the product design system
- Drive rapid iteration and deployment in a fast-paced environment
- Define and maintain system governance (contribution models, documentation standards)
- Maintain high standards for visual design and UX
- Champion adoption across the organization with engineering and product leaders
- Reinvent the design-to-engineering bridge using AI-driven design ops
- Collaborate on architectural trade-offs to keep projects moving forward
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience as a system designer
- Proven ability to build or overhaul design systems in top-tier tech environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional execution and visual craft
- Experience designing systems for Web, iOS, and Android
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
- Ability to quickly prioritize complex architectural trade-offs
- Technical fluency in front-end development and AI-driven design ops
- Experience leading complex initiatives and enhancing team capabilities
