Remote Golang Engineer - B2B SaaS Startup

Role Overview

Backend Engineer (Remote) for an early-stage B2B SaaS startup building integration and data orchestration infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with a staff backend engineer to solve complex data mapping and synchronization problems and support the company’s growth across the wealth tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services and APIs powering data orchestration and integrations
• Design, develop, and maintain third-party financial system integrations
• Solve data mapping and synchronization challenges across systems with differing schemas and constraints
• Design database schemas and implement large-scale data transformations
• Own backend features end-to-end (design → deployment → monitoring → iteration)
• Build internal tools to support Customer Success and Implementation teams
• Contribute reusable infrastructure patterns and tooling to speed up new integrations
• Partner with frontend, product, and design to deliver high-quality customer experiences
• Debug and resolve production issues to maintain reliability and performance

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience delivering reliable, well-tested systems
• Experience shipping features in early-stage startups on a single product (Seed–Series B preferred)
• Strong fundamentals in backend engineering: API design, data modeling, SQL databases, and system design
• Experience building integrations with third-party APIs, ETL workflows, or data pipelines
• Strong ownership, bias toward action, and ability to work with high autonomy
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new systems and tackling complex integration problems
• Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and design
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with fintech and/or B2B SaaS
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Experience with Redis
• Comfort with AWS services such as SQS and S3
