About the role
Role Overview
Remote Cloud/Data Engineer supporting Databricks for application teams. You’ll provide first-level support, help onboard new Data Landing Zones (DLZs), and automate provisioning and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support to application teams via ServiceNow ticketing.
- Gather and analyze onboarding requirements for new DLZs.
- Execute pipelines and scripts to provision or modify Azure and Databricks resources.
- Automate repetitive support processes and improve existing workflows.
- Create and maintain documentation for support procedures and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve common support requests.
Requirements
- 1–3 years hands-on experience with Databricks.
- 1–3 years experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Background in application support or technical operations.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Source control experience (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Databricks capabilities such as Unity Catalog, RBAC, authentication methods, and Delta Sharing.
- Experience working within the Azure ecosystem.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, Bicep).
- CI/CD pipeline experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Scripting/development skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
