Remote API Developer

Role Overview

Remote API Developer to join a dynamic team on a remote contract basis working with a prominent federal agency. You will design, develop, and maintain API solutions that support operational needs and improve public-sector service delivery and data management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support front-end, back-end, and data integration solutions.
• Build and maintain cloud-based applications and Salesforce integrations for seamless data flow.
• Design and maintain backend applications and infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Define and document application architecture, technical solutions, and best practices.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance and security.
• Ensure development follows coding standards, security protocols, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project managers, analysts, other developers).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing APIs and applications, including troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in API development, integration, and support.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Salesforce development and integration.
• Knowledge of modern development frameworks and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication/collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Experience across both front-end and back-end development, plus data integration and cloud-based applications.
