Role overview

Remote Android Developer to build the native Android experience for BJAK’s AI Finance Agent. You’ll work on mobile-first, reliable features for real users, with an emphasis on clean user flows, high performance, and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy native Android features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards, and AI-driven user journeys
• Convert complex financial workflows into simple, fast, reliable mobile experiences
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend, and AI engineers to ship features from concept to production
• Maintain high app quality by monitoring performance, crash rates, and loading times, and resolving issues proactively
• Use analytics, user feedback, and behavioral data to improve the app post-launch
• Integrate APIs, authentication, and secure data handling to support dependable and secure user experiences

Requirements

• Proven native Android development experience using Kotlin
• Experience shipping Android apps used by real customers
• Strong understanding of Android architecture components, including Jetpack, Coroutines, and Flow
• Solid knowledge of modern Android development practices and tooling
• Strong debugging skills to troubleshoot production issues
• Product sense and attention to UX/UI quality
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments without sacrificing quality
• Effective English communication (written and verbal)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with complex, security-sensitive fintech/mobile payments or authentication flows (implied by responsibilities)
