About the role
Role Overview
Changeis, Inc. is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with 6+ years of experience supporting technical teams in a mature SAFe environment. This is a remote position requiring strong collaboration, risk/impediment management, and executive-ready communication.
Responsibilities
- Drive SAFe adoption by helping teams, stakeholders, and leadership understand SAFe values and principles.
- Ensure the Agile Release Train (ART) has a shared understanding of goals, scope, and the overall solution.
- Facilitate SAFe routines, including PI Planning and the ART Sync.
- Coach and mentor the ART on Agile principles: collaboration, self-organization, prioritization, accountability, and visibility.
- Partner with Product Management and System Architects to manage and develop the ART backlog and improve program-level backlog creation.
- Remove impediments, resolve bottlenecks, manage risks, and provide escalation management.
- Lead trade-off decisions and help balance business needs with technical constraints.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on project status and risks.
- Improve and automate metrics and dashboards to support retrospective conversations.
- Own and optimize the Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool and initiate Lean process improvements to reduce waste and focus on value.
- Coordinate with Scrum Masters and other RTEs to improve application of Agile frameworks.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience as an RTE, Product Owner, Product Manager, or Scrum Master supporting high-visibility products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Current SAFe Release Train Engineer certification required.
- Strong operational understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in environments with ambiguity, rapid change, and significant challenges.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with diverse technical teams.
Preferred
- SAFe Agile SPC certification (strongly preferred).
