React Developer

Role Overview

Senior React Developer (hands-on front-end)

• Duration: 6+ month contract
• Location: Remote (preferred EST time zone)
• Focus on building and optimizing modern user interfaces using React and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, high-performance React applications with TypeScript and modern libraries (e.g., TanStack Query, Router).
• Translate Figma (or similar) design mockups into responsive, accessible, pixel-perfect UI.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Create reusable, modular components and maintain consistent state management/data flow patterns.
• Integrate with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, efficiently handling complex asynchronous data.
• Perform code reviews and help maintain high standards for quality, readability, and maintainability.
• Optimize performance (rendering efficiency, caching strategies, and load times).
• Contribute to and maintain shared component libraries/design systems.
• Use Git-based version control and collaborative workflows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years building modern front-end applications.
• Strong React expertise (hooks, context, component architecture, performance optimization).
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Ability to convert design mockups into production-ready UI.
• Solid understanding of Git workflows and code review practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TanStack Query (React Query).
• Familiarity with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Experience with design systems / shared component libraries.
• Agile/Scrum experience using Jira and Confluence.
