Rapid Researcher

Role Overview

Rapid Researcher on Figma’s Research team, supporting the Rapid Research program. You’ll run quick research sprints across product areas to generate user insights and deliver actionable recommendations that guide confident product iteration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mixed-methods research studies to gather user feedback and insights throughout the development process, often in 1–2 week sprints
• Synthesize findings into product recommendations that resonate with stakeholders and drive decisions
• Present recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, telling the story behind the data
• Rotate across product areas and teams, building credibility and relationships quickly
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate user insights into the product lifecycle
• Continuously evaluate product experiences to uncover strategic opportunities and unmet user needs
• Lead and mentor junior researchers on best practices and methodologies
• Experiment with tools, templates, and workflows to make research faster and higher quality

Requirements

• 7+ years in research/design roles in fast-paced product organizations, UX/design agencies, or strategic consultancies for digital experiences
• Proficiency in mixed methods research, including:
  • Qualitative (e.g., interviews)
  • Quantitative (e.g., surveys and data analysis)
• Strong communication and storytelling; can secure executive buy-in and drive product changes
• Ability to ramp quickly and deliver measurable impact in 1–2 weeks
• Actively integrates AI tools into research workflows to increase speed, quality, or scale

• Experience with designing and prototyping, ideally in the Figma ecosystem
