About the role

Role overview

Join Nokia’s Optical Systems and Networking Solutions team as an R&D Software Architect to help build and evolve software infrastructure for subsea communications. You’ll work with an agile group on next-gen R&D tools, refactor and re-architect existing code, and collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Refactor and re-architect existing code to improve reliability and scalability in R&D projects
Design software infrastructure so optical engineers can contribute effectively to the codebase
Develop innovative software platforms for communication systems with cross-functional teams
Monitor code check-ins to maintain quality and development standards
Apply DevOps best practices to streamline and automate the software delivery lifecycle
Integrate new technologies to improve system capabilities and user experience
Build interactive visualizations that help customers modify configurations accurately and efficiently
Help automate measurement and optimization of communication systems
Participate in advanced customer trials of communication equipment

Requirements

Front-end development experience with Blazor, React, Angular, or Vue
Expertise in .NET (C#, VB.NET)
Strong knowledge of database management and replication
Experience designing for high availability
Proficiency with Docker
Proficiency in JavaScript

Communications and optical domain experience
