About the role
Role Overview
Quantitative UX Researcher (contract) for Etsy’s Product Research team. You will deliver quantitative insights that shape product decisions and long-term strategy for Etsy’s human commerce experience.
Responsibilities
- Own quantitative research studies end-to-end:
- Survey questionnaire development
- Survey programming
- Fielding management (running surveys)
- Analysis and synthesis
- Combine behavioral and attitudinal data by querying the data warehouse.
- Apply statistical methods including:
- Foundational tests (e.g., means testing)
- Advanced techniques such as regression and factor analysis
- Communicate results into clear, actionable findings for cross-functional partners.
- Present research findings to stakeholders with a customer-centric perspective.
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, sociology, HCI, marketing)
- R or other statistical software experience
- Experience with survey programming platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer)
- SQL/database querying experience
- Ability to own the full survey research process: questionnaire development, programming, fielding, and statistical analysis (inferential stats, correlations, regression)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written, visual, and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Research experience in e-commerce or digital product development
Work Setup
- M–F, 40 hours/week
- 100% remote, with NYC preferred
