About the role
Role: Quality Engineer (QA)
You will help improve health outcomes by analyzing software requirements, executing high-quality testing, and driving defect resolution.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and break down software requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases
- Write and manage test cases in Jira and perform testing
- Test the product and drive resolution of defects
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts when needed using tools such as Selenium
- Build and execute risk-based test plans, focusing on business-critical flows, edge cases, and negative scenarios
- Execute automated test scripts and report defects/issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of functional testing experience
- 5+ years of SQL querying experience
- 3+ years in automation testing with strong knowledge of test methodologies and best practices
- 2+ years testing for batch processing and UNIX/Linux environments, including job scheduling, file handling, scripting, and production troubleshooting
- 2+ years of experience with Azure
- 1+ years extracting/managing test data, performing definitive testing, and writing appropriate test cases
- 1+ years of REST API testing using Postman
- 6+ months testing IBM Transformation Extender (WTX) maps (design/develop/execute test cases and maintain map solutions)
- 6+ months testing Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler (validate job scheduling, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot scheduling issues)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in healthcare payments domain (claims payment and remittance processing)
- 3+ years using automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
- 2+ years with payment industry standards, protocols, and security/compliance best practices
- Experience collaborating with onshore and offshore teams and supporting deployments/release governance
- 835 file expertise/knowledge (test file creation, payment processing)
Location / Remote
- Telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. (subject to the company telecommuter policy)
