About the role

Role Overview

Quality Engineer focused on automating platform use cases and identity flows, leading end-to-end (E2E) releases, and driving Quality Engineering practices across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and break down software requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases
  • Write and execute test cases; test products and drive defect resolution
  • Establish and maintain test cases and test data
  • Create and maintain test cases in Rally
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as:
    • Playwright (Test automation)
    • Cucumber (test framework)
  • Execute automated test scripts and report defects/issues
  • Conduct regular reviews/inspections of automated test scripts for coding standards and best practices
  • Continuously improve automation testing by identifying optimization opportunities
  • Stay current with industry trends in automation testing and apply them when relevant
  • Participate in walkthroughs, inspections, reviews, and quality assurance user group meetings
  • Collaborate with business users, system analysts, designers, and programmers on project documents
  • Plan, document, evaluate, and track testing results to ensure applications are defect-free
  • Communicate with relevant teams about problems, changes, and enhancements impacting data/workflows/functionality
  • Follow Agile Scrum standards and strategies
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows and automate tasks (where applicable)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing with strong test methodology knowledge
  • 3+ years with version control (e.g., Git) and CI tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
  • 3+ years of REST API testing
  • 3+ years with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
  • 3+ years using a programming language for test scripts: Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#
  • 3+ years working in an Agile development environment
  • 2+ years with Azure or AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, TypeScript, or Python
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Proven knowledge/exposure in (trailing text incomplete)
