About the role
Quality Engineer II (Fandango)
Responsible for test planning, design, execution, and automation for Fandango applications and subsystems, covering both front-end client and back-end server testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform software quality testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing
- Develop and document test scripts, test cases, defect tracking, and test reports
- Work independently and own quality for business initiatives
- Create and maintain manual and/or automated test maintenance scripts, test data, and SQA deliverables
- Review log files and runtime documentation to identify defects and issues
- Partner with development teams to support and implement applications
- Contribute to front-end and API-level testing; understand how layers interact (front end, back end, data storage)
- Perform database-level validations and troubleshooting, primarily using SQL
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of QA automation experience (ideal)
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and common patterns such as Page Object Model
- Exposure to running tests in CI pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions (plus)
- Database work focused mainly on basic data validation
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint ceremonies
- Ability to troubleshoot test failures, maintain test suites, and improve test coverage and reliability
Nice to have
- Experience maintaining an existing automation framework and adding tests to an established setup
Work model / Interview
- Fully remote (expected to contribute from a non-Versant worksite, commonly home)
- Up to 10% travel for onsite collaboration/meetings
- Final interview round conducted in person; external candidates may need an in-person interview prior to hiring.
