About the role

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the integrity, reliability, and performance of ThriveCart’s e-commerce platform. This is a hands-on role focused on building strong test coverage across web and mobile, collaborating with engineering, product, and support to prevent defects and verify releases meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for new features and updates
Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests across web and mobile
Validate critical user flows, including APIs, payment processes, and other key business scenarios
Develop and expand automated test suites to improve coverage and reliability
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing
Identify, document, and track defects, verify fixes, and ensure resolution quality
Participate in release planning and coordinate testing across product teams
Monitor production for post-release issues and unexpected behavior
Support root-cause analysis and post-release quality reviews
Recommend and implement improvements to QA tools, strategies, and processes
Promote QA best practices and a culture of quality across teams

Requirements

2–4 years of software QA/testing experience in SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, or similar domains
Proficiency with testing methodologies: functional, regression, integration, performance
Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing frameworks
Experience testing APIs, databases, workflows, and web interfaces
Familiarity with Jira (bug tracking) and Git (version control)
Ability to write/maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright and Jest (or similar)
Understanding of API behavior, database interactions, and performance testing tools
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving with a sense of ownership

Nice to Have

Knowledge of payment systems and transaction flow testing is highly valued
