About the role
Role Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of ThriveCart’s e-commerce platform. This is a hands-on role focused on building strong test coverage, validating new product changes, and improving testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for new features and platform updates
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web and mobile interfaces
- Validate key user flows, APIs, and payment processing/transaction flows
- Develop, expand, and maintain automated test suites using PlayWright and Jest
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support smoother releases
- Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with engineering; verify fixes against acceptance criteria
- Participate in release planning and coordinate testing across product teams
- Monitor production systems post-release and support root-cause analysis / post-release quality reviews
- Recommend improvements to testing strategies, tools, and processes and help standardize QA best practices
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software QA/testing experience in SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, or related domains
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and automation frameworks like PlayWright and Jest
- Proficiency testing APIs, MySQL databases, and web-based workflows
- Experience with Jira for bug tracking and Git for version control
- Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts
- Analytical skills for edge cases and failure scenarios
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; detail-oriented and proactive
