Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Snapsheet, you build test systems and processes to improve current quality and prevent issues proactively. You work closely with software developers, QAs, and designers in a fast-paced, agile environment, supporting a specific product while also creating the tools needed to maintain high confidence in automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Review product specifications and feature requirements
• Define and refine the testing strategy for an engineering team
• Own QA tools and test infrastructure; research and implement QA automation technologies
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites
• Build cross-functional alignment with developers and product managers on what/how/when to automate
• Develop, document, and maintain functional and regression test cases and related test artifacts
• Execute tests (planned, exploratory, ad hoc) and track results
• Perform issue triage, including defect isolation/replication/reporting and verification of fixes
• Submit, track, and communicate defects; escalate quality issues when needed
• Provide QA reporting (test status and defect status)
• Ensure deliverables meet functional, design, and technical requirements
• Perform various testing:
  • Release candidate testing (new features/releases)
  • Enhancement testing
  • Regression testing
  • Non-functional testing such as load/stress testing and performance/scalability validation
  • Behavior testing under constraints (browser/screen/network conditions)
  • Accessibility testing
• Continuously identify new tools or strategies to raise the quality bar

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in a related field
• 3+ years building test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Proficiency in programming languages (Ruby and JavaScript preferred)
• Familiar with Jira and Confluence, Git/GitHub, and test tools (Zephyr, TestRail)
• Understanding of SDLC and QA/testing principles
• Experience testing web-based products and/or mobile products

• Strong focus/experience in non-functional testing (performance, accessibility)
