Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Snapsheet, you’ll be a problem-solver who builds test systems and processes to improve quality and prevent issues proactively. You’ll work with software developers, QAs, and designers in a fast-paced agile environment, supporting a specific product while creating the tools needed for high-confidence automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Review product specs and feature requirements.
• Define and refine the testing strategy for an engineering team.
• Own QA tools and test infrastructure; research and implement QA automation technologies.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites; collaborate with developers and product managers on what/how/when to automate.
• Create, document, and maintain functional and regression test cases and related test artifacts.
• Execute tests and track results across planned, exploratory, and ad hoc testing.
• Perform defect triage: isolate, replicate, report; submit/track/communicate defects.
• Verify defect fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Provide QA reporting (test status and defect status) and ensure deliverables meet specs.
• Conduct:
  • Release candidate testing (new features/products)
  • Enhancement testing (existing features)
  • Regression testing
  • Non-functional testing (load/stress, performance/scalability)
  • Behavior testing under constraints (browser, screen resolution, network conditions)
  • Accessibility testing
• Stay current on tools/strategies to raise the quality bar.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in a related field.
• 3+ years building test automation using Selenium, Cypress, and/or Playwright.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Ruby and JavaScript preferred).
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Git/GitHub, and test management tools like Zephyr or TestRail.
• Understanding of SDLC and QA/testing principles.
• Experience testing web-based products and/or mobile applications.

• Strong foundation in both functional and non-functional testing (performance, accessibility).
