About the role

Role Overview

Reveal Technology is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for the Human Systems team, with a primary focus on Android testing and quality and additional contributions to cloud-based systems testing. You will help ensure stability, performance, and usability, shaping quality throughout development rather than only validating at the end.

Responsibilities

Perform manual testing across the product suite, primarily Android and cloud-based systems
Create and maintain test cases and contribute to test planning based on feature scope and risk
Contribute to and expand automation, using Espresso, with a transition toward a framework supporting Jetpack Compose
Collaborate with engineers, product, and cross-functional teams to communicate issues, validate fixes, and align on testing timelines
Adapt to new product initiatives and own testing efforts in evolving areas
Validate functionality, performance, and user experience across Android and cloud environments

Requirements

2–5 years of experience building, testing, and shipping complex software
Technical bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
Strong balance of manual exploratory testing and automation
Experience with at least one mobile automation framework (Espresso preferred; Appium acceptable)
Ability to document, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues with actionable detail
Analytical, strong problem-solving mindset
Experience with test management tools (e.g., Qase, TestRail, or similar)
Familiarity with command line environments (Linux/macOS/Windows)
Comfortable testing Android and cloud-based systems
Ability to work independently, plan/prioritize, and drive quality in a remote environment
Thrives with minimal day-to-day oversight

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000 – $80,000 + Equity (based on experience, skills, and internal equity)
